More Than Conquerors - Frequency

Room 201

The More Than Conquerors Sunday School Class is in a new series. This material is entitled "Frequency: Tune In. Hear God." by Robert Morris.

As believers in Jesus Christ, we naturally want to know how we can hear God's voice. And, like a radio host broadcasting His voice into the airwaves, God is speaking all the time. The question is, are we tuned in to the right frequency? Our lives are filled with constant noises competing for our attention. Yet, many of us never hear the One voice we long to hear the most. In the midst of it all, God is still speaking. Do you hear Him?

Join us as we learn how to tune in and hear God. Class meets at 9:45 a.m. in Room 201. It is taught by Lacey Godfrey and Pastor Lisa Walters.

Encounters with Jesus -- Seeing the Heart of God

Room 203

Paul says Jesus was the visible image of the invisible God, so what was it we were supposed to see about God as Jesus walked in our world? What did God want to show us about Himself? Feel free to join us as we take a look at some of the men and women who had encounters with Jesus and ask ourselves some probing questions: Did Jesus just happen to encounter these people or was there some deeper purpose? What is God revealing about Himself? Do these things that happened over 2,000 years ago really matter to us today?

Uninvited

Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. Room 202 (The Chapel)

Wednesday Morning Ladies Bible Study is excited to offer "Uninvited: Living Loved When Your Feel Less Than, Left Out, and Lonely." Author, Lysa TerKeurst, helps women to explore the roots of rejection; the lies we believe as a result; and the truth about who God is, who we are, and what it looks like to live loved.

The enemy wants us to feel rejected . . . left out, lonely, and less than. When we allow him to speak lies through our rejection, he pickpockets our purpose. Cripples our courage. Dismantles our dreams. And blinds us to the beauty of Christ’s powerful love.

In these six powerful teaching sessions filmed in the Holy Land, Lysa shares the truth of God’s Word to help women:

Release the desire to fall apart or control the actions of others by embracing God-honoring ways to process their hurt.

Know how to pray in order to steady their soul and restore their confidence.

Overcome the fears that feed our insecurities.

Stop feeling left out and start believing that “set apart” does not mean “set aside.”

End the cycle of perceived rejection by refusing to turn a small incident into a full blown issue.

Class facilitated by: Debbie Andrews

Marriage Matters

Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Room 202

What is Marriage Matters? It is a place to be real, and to be encouraged. It's an opportunity to discover things about your spouse — and yourself, no matter your age or stage. It's a safe place to ask questions, wrestle with challenges and seek feedback. It’s a place to have a little fun with other people who also value their marriages. Sometimes we all need a reminder that we can weather the storms and enjoy a thriving, successful, lifelong marriage. Marriage Matters will share objective, honest insights about your relationship from people who are committed to the two of you and want what's best for you. We won't try to tell you it will always be easy, but we promise it will be worth it!

Class led by: Pastors Johnny and Lisa Walters, along with a team of the CrossRoads Marriage Mentors

Becoming Myself

Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Room 201

Becoming Myself is a stunningly beautiful reminder that we’re deeply loved, accepted and celebrated by God – not some day, but right now! We all have the same voices of shame echoing in our brains, the same drive to strictly discipline ourselves, the same notion that someday we’ll succeed in doing better and get our act totally together. It’s so exhausting and self-defeating! But get ready to finally get comfortable in the skin God put you in!

Class led by: Rachael Mendez and Lanita Linch

What's Next

Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Room 203

James 1:22 says, "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." So, what do you do with the truth that you receive? This class will walk you through a process of applying the message you are receiving to your everyday life!
